Before we start
Questions worth answering before we start.
Clear answers about the process, existing systems and the decisions we make together at the start of each project.
Fit
Do we have to begin with a large project?
No. We can start with one problem that is slowing the business down today. During the consultation, we determine whether to solve it on its own or prepare a foundation for additional work later.
Can UPLEAP work with a company that has several departments?
Yes, especially when work moves between marketing, sales, customer service and operations. We define who participates, who approves decisions and what each team needs to receive.
Process and timing
What happens after the first consultation?
If there is a fit, we define the goal, the scope and the information we need to review. You receive a clear proposal before any build work begins.
How long does a project take?
Timing depends on scope, system connections, content readiness and approvals. The proposal includes a schedule once the work is defined.
Existing systems, AI and automation
Do we need to replace the systems we already use?
Not necessarily. We first identify what works, what can be connected and what is actually limiting the team. An existing system can stay when it fits the job and can be integrated safely.
Does every process need AI?
No. We use AI when it can help interpret information, classify a request or prepare a controlled action. Straightforward rules and standard automation are better when they solve the problem reliably.
When does a person stay involved?
A person remains involved when the work requires professional judgment, approval or personal service. We define what the system may do and what must be handed to a person.
Websites and Shopify
What is the difference between a website and a Shopify store?
A website or landing page explains an offer and leads to an inquiry or another clear action. A Shopify store also includes a catalog, product pages, cart, checkout and order management. We choose the structure around how the business sells.
Will our team be able to update content?
When content management is part of the project, we create clear editing controls and provide handoff guidance. Editing access and flexibility depend on the site, store and team responsible for it.
Maintenance, ownership and access
Who owns the accounts and assets we create?
Ownership, access and licenses are defined in the proposal and agreement before work begins. When an account should belong to the client, we set it up or transfer it so the client retains control.
What happens after launch?
Post-launch work is defined for each project. It may include handoff and training, a defined correction period or a separate maintenance service. We do not assume that every project includes ongoing support.
Privacy and data
How do you handle customer information?
We determine which information is needed, who should access it and where it is stored. Privacy, security and retention decisions depend on the systems, providers and legal requirements that apply to the client.
Pricing and proposals
How is pricing determined?
Pricing reflects the scope, complexity, deliverables, system connections and post-launch responsibility. We send a proposal after we understand what needs to be built and who owns each part of the work.
