Accessibility Policy
The principles UPLEAP uses to design, test and maintain digital accessibility.
Commitment and principles
UPLEAP works to provide equal, respectful, independent and safe use of the website and inquiry form. Accessibility is part of content, design, engineering, testing and maintenance rather than a final add-on.
The engineering target is AA under Israeli Standard 5568 Part 1 and the Israeli service accessibility regulations for internet services. Digital documents, if published, will also be reviewed under the requirements that apply to them.
Scope
This policy covers public pages, desktop and mobile navigation, forms, status and error messages, language selection, consent controls, and documents produced and published by UPLEAP.
Third-party content or interfaces outside UPLEAP control may be the responsibility of that provider. If they are essential to the service, we will seek an accessible option, provide an alternative channel or ask the provider to remediate where practicable.
Design and engineering requirements
- Semantic structure, heading order, landmarks and a skip link.
- Keyboard operation, visible focus, logical focus order and focus restoration.
- Form labels, instructions, required states, error identification, correction guidance and aria-live.
- Contrast, zoom, reflow, text spacing and no reliance on color alone.
- RTL and LTR support, bidirectional isolation and declared language.
- Reduced-motion support and avoidance of unnecessary motion or flashing.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images and accessible alternatives for published media.
Testing and maintenance
Material changes are tested in Hebrew and English, RTL and LTR, with a keyboard, at different viewport sizes, under zoom and with automated tools. Automated testing does not replace human evaluation or assistive-technology use.
New content, components or third-party services may require renewed testing. A verified issue is recorded, prioritized by impact and retested before closure.
Accessible alternative and assistance
If an action is not accessible, request an alternative channel at no extra charge. Inquiries can also be submitted by email or phone. Assistance is provided with respect for privacy, dignity and independence.
Reporting and remediation
The accessibility contact is Yossi Ariel: yosi.ariellll@gmail.com, 054-355-0665. It helps to include the page, attempted action, browser and assistive technology; no medical diagnosis is required.
We will review a report promptly. If a remediable accessibility gap is confirmed, we will provide an alternative as soon as practicable and remediate within a reasonable period and any maximum period required by law.
Review
The policy is reviewed when the website, law, standard or service changes. The current version date appears above. A policy change does not reduce a non-waivable right.
